Here are some before and after gardening pics of my work and seasonal information about garden maintenance.

​Spring / Summer

Spring is the best time to clean up flower beds and get them ready for regrowth after the winter. This is a great time to weed, plant and transplant, break up plants, and mulch. It is also a good time to prune blossoming trees and shrubs. 

Summer is when weeds can take hold and overrun gardens. It is also when pachysandra and other invasive ground cover may need to be thinned out.

Examples of my spring and summer gardening projects include:

Fall / Winter

Fall is the best time to plant spring bulbs, such as tulips, crocuses, hyacinth, and daffodils. It is also a great time to prune branches and take expired flowering perennials to the ground such as black-eyed Susans, daisies, and hostas. This will stimulate growth in the spring.

Fall is when leaf cleanup is kicked into high gear and things get cold and messy. Here are some of our results fall pruning and cleanup:
